Algorithms
Visual PROTAC uses peer-reviewed, reproducible methods for all peptide calculations. No black-box models.
Isoelectric point (pI)
pI is computed using the Bjellqvist method (Bjellqvist et al., Electrophoresis 14(1), 1023–1031, 1993), with pK values from the Expasy ProtParam implementation. This is the same approach used in ExPASy and widely cited in proteomics.
Molecular weight
Monoisotopic and average mass use IUPAC standard atomic weights and UniMod for post-translational modifications. No rounding until final display.
GRAVY & charge
GRAVY (Grand Average of Hydropathy) and net charge at a given pH follow the standard Kyte–Doolittle and residue pK tables used in Expasy ProtParam.
